I am wanting to know from people in Iraq if anybody was killed in the blast.
With such a toppling of that dome,were any people injured?
Inside Iraq, still no claims of repsonsiblity for the blast ?
In the west it was reported no deaths.

The Beriut Lebanon bombing and killing of politician last year is what it almost reminds me of.

Not a precise fit but nobody took responsibility for Hariri's killing either, did they ?

Could it be Saddams own baathist party members ?

Are they any closer to finishing that "trial" of Saddams ?

If this was an attempt to bring back Saddam.... not going to happen.


My opinion means nothing. Only those inside Iraq can weigh the evidence, listen to "the word on the street" and come to a better conclusion.

I do not have a clue except maybe ,
those that were once closely unified in a cause to stop events in Iraq may be about to cut each others throats to save themselves.

تحتم المسؤولية الوطنية والدينية علينا، تناول تداعيات جريمة استهداف المراقد المقدسة على مجريات العملية السياسية التي شارفت الوصول الى أهم حلقاتها، بشكل مباشر وواضح، وبعيداً عن اللجوء الى لغة الوعود وعبارات التمويه التي سئمها المواطن البسيط، وقد ارتضاها في وقت سابق من الحكومة، رغبة منه في تحقيق مطالبه الاساسية من امن وخدمات وغيرها من جهة، وتواضع قناعاته من جهة أخرى، وهي التي ادرك انها خارج حدود دولة وليدة، تعاني من ازمات ومشكلات شتى تمزق اشلاء مؤسساتها، وتهدر أموالها وتنمي امراضها، بدل ان تعالجها وكلها على حساب كرامته، والتي وان اهدرت معاشياً، فإنها لا يمكن ان تهدر عقائدياً وإنسانيا.

يجب ألا يعوزنا الوضوح والصدقية في فهم طبيعة البناء السياسي الذي يحاول زعماء الكتل البرلمانية اكماله لبنة لبنة، اذ انني اجد نفسي مضطراً امام زلزال كارثة سامراء التي حلت بالبلاد العودة من جديد إليها لأقول: كيف يمكن لبناء سياسي يراد له ان يحافظ على وحدة تماسك العراقيين ويرسخ وحدتهم الوطنية بمختلف مكوناتهم، ان يقوم على حطام اقدس الاضرحة الى نفوسهم، واقربها ارتباطا بعقيدتهم التي انعقدت عليها قلوبهم وأفكارهم، فأصبحت هي التي تحركهم وبمعزل احياناً عن أي سلطة دينية وسياسية رغم احترامهم وتقديرهم لها. لا بل حتى ان صمامات الامان أي المرجعيات الدينية، التي يعول عليها في نزع فتيل الفتنة الطائفية والحيلولة دون قيام الحرب الاهلية، وقفت مذهولة امام حجم الاعتداء والتدمير، الذي طال مرقد الامامين علي الهادي والحسن العسكري (عليهما السلام)، فلا تستطيع وبكل ما تملك من وسائل ضبط اجتماعي السيطرة على غضب الشارع العراقي، الذي لم يشهد في تاريخه المعاصر حادثة افقدته صوابه وأثرت في وجدانه، مثل حادثة يوم الاربعاء السوداء التي افقدت الجار الشيعي صوابه ليساوره الشك في جاره السني، الذي عاش معه سراءه وضراءه وهمومه ومعاناته، وأخذ يحيطه بهالة من التساؤلات التي لا يستطيع الاجابة عنها. وبشكل بات يهدد نسيج البنية الاجتماعية.

فأمام ثالوث الارهاب الذي اجتمع في تحالف ضم الجماعات السلفية التكفيرية، وبقايا النظام السابق، فضلاً عن تجار ومدمني الحروب، والذي وصل نقطة الذروة باستباحة العتبات المقدسة للمسلمين الشيعة، وهدر دماء ابنائهم واستهداف عقلانية وتوازن بعضهم، تقف العملية السياسية امام مفترق طرق خطير. فتمسك العرب السنة بخيار تشكيل حكومة وحدة وطنية تقوم على اربعة اطراف، يجعلهم امام جدية مراجعة ما تبنوه مقابل اشتراكهم بفاعلية في الحكومة الجديدة. فلو تسنى لهم فرض وجهة نظرهم إزاء أحد أهم الملفات خطورة وهو الملف الامني، ماذا يمكن ان يقدموا، وهل بمقدروهم السيطرة على شارعهم الذي اثبتت الاحداث انه من اهم مصادر العنف، هذا الشارع المأزوم ادرك مؤخراً حجم خسارته وحاول تعويضها عبر اقتناعه بضرورة محاربة ونبذ الجماعات المسلحة في المنطقة الغربية، سيما وانه دفع ثمن هذه القناعة باهظاً، فقد اغتيل العديد من ائمة المساجد وشيوخ العشائر والمدنيين الابرياء في الانبار.

الا ان الملاحظ ان هذه القناعة غابت وبشكل يثير العديد من الشكوك والتساؤلات عن تصريحات ولقاءات بعض قادة القوى السياسية، الامر الذي فهمه الآخرون بأنه يمثل بشكل او بآخر تعاطفاً وربما اصطفافاً من قبلهم مع الجماعات المسلحة، حيث أنها اثناء تعرض مجموعة من المتطوعين لقوات الامن الى حادث ارهابي في الانبار، فإن هذه القوى تجنبت استخدام عبارات حادة تجاه الجماعات المسلحة والجهات التي تبنت هذا الاستهداف، وارتأت بدلاً عن ذلك توجيه خطاب شديد اللهجة الى شركائها في العملية السياسية، الذين يمسكون بزمام السلطة التنفيذية، وهدفوا الى تقييدها وإضعافها عبر تشكيل مجلس مواز، وعلى حساب صلاحياتها، في حين ان الخروج من المأزق الامني الذي تعيشه البلاد يقتضي بداهةً تقوية السلطة التنفيذية لا اضعافها، إذ أن شل يد الدولة وتكميمها وتسييس مطالب الجماعات المسلحة، لم يعد له من فهم آخر الا التواطؤ على اراقة دماء العراقيين، كما ان مسك العصا من الوسط والمحاولات المستمرة على تشتيت الانتباه عن مصادر العنف، وتبني الخطاب الملتبس والمزدوج، لم ينفع وباتت مغادرته ضرورية. انهم بصراحة يضحون بمصالح وحياة من يدعون تمثيلهم. ومصداقية ذلك الجرائم الانتقامية التي حدثت والتي طالت دور العبادة والأبرياء، فالرغبة في التعايش ووحدة العراق لا تتسق مع توفير الملاذ الامن للجماعات التكفيرية والجماعات المسلحة المتعاونة معها، والتي باتت تهدد بأخذ البلاد الى هاوية لا ينجو منها احد.

من جانب آخر فإن ما حدث وقع في ظل ازدياد الضغط الامريكي على العملية السياسية التي تنوعت اتجاهاته، بين التلويح بانسحاب مفاجئ للقوات الامريكية، ينبئ بتفاقم الوضع الامني، وصولاً الى التصريحات المثيرة للجدل التي اطلقها السفير الامريكي قبل ايام، والتي اكد فيها ان بلاده لن تدعم أية حكومة لها توجه طائفي، في خطوة من الادارة الامريكية تسعى من خلالها لفرض ارادتها السياسية على المفاوضين. وهنا ينبغي الحذر من انه اذا كان الضغط الامريكي الى الآن مؤثراً على الرؤوس السياسية، فانه لن يكون كذلك على الاطراف والنهايات، بل سيجعل الشارع منفلتاً حتى عن سيطرة قياداته.

ان هذا الاستهداف الأخير لهذا الرمز الديني، هو الاكثر ايلاماً في مسلسل الجماعات التكفيرية التي غايتها استدراج الانتقام وردود الافعال المقابلة، والتي ستكون وصفة للحرب الاهلية التي عمل العقلاء متسامين على الدماء والجراح على تجنبها. من جانب آخر فعلى دول المنطقة، التي تدعم او تغض النظر عن رجال دينها وعن إعلامها ومصادر التمويل فيها، ان تدرك بأن ما يجري في العراق هو ليس في جزيرة منعزلة، بل سيمتد بشظاياه الى مجتمعاتها، لا بل ان الاحتقان الطائفي في العراق ستتسع اهتزازته لتشمل العالم المسلم برمته.

وأخيرا، ان وحدة الروح والجسد وتماسك ابناء الوطن، وإشاعة السلام، هي ما عاش واستشهد من اجله كل ائمة الرحمة، اما الانتقام فإنه بالقطع سيكون مناقضاً للرسالات التي أشاعوها ويحيل بلد اضرحتهم الى ركام.

Who would do such a thing?

1. I think that Sadrists are very far from doubt. If they wanted to destroy Irak then they should destroy Abu Hanifa or Al Gailani and not the contrary,
2. Before Saddam´s failure he was always saying that he would destroy Iraq if he failed, so why we can not blame the faithful bathists - Sunnis, Shiis, Kurds and Christias- and not the normal Iraqi people. It is imposible that a Shii neighbour is afraid of his Sunni neighbour or Sunni from Shii. In Baghdad, it is very difficult to find pure Shii or Sunni families.
3. This morning in Iraq, the interior minister said that the iraqi army now has the same quantity of armaments as the terrorists. So we can blame the enemy because it means that Saddam´s loyal army still control Iraq, they can do what they want, even to burn Baghdad.

Iraq's Hawija Sunni tribes declare war on Zarqawi

Tribal leaders vow to fight all those who attack their sheikhs and clan leaders, including Al-Qaeda.

HAWIJA, Iraq - Faced with attacks against their sheikhs and clan members, a number of Sunni tribes from Hawija – an insurgent bastion in northern Iraq - have declared war on Al-Qaeda's frontman in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

"We shall fight all those who commit such attacks, notably Al-Qaeda," the tribal leaders said in a statement that has been circulating around Hawija.

In the last month-and-a-half, the head of Al-Nuaim tribe, Ibrahim Al-Nuaimi, and one of the heads of the powerful Jubur tribe, Ahmad Mehdi Saleh, have been assassinated in this Sunni rebel bastion, 220 kilometers (137 miles) north of Baghdad.

It is a terror campaign against our leaders," Sheikh Abdel Rahman al-Assai, head of the Obaidi tribe, said.

"We are not going allow them to silence us and do this to us. The resistance opposes the occupation and is an Iraqi affair.

"Terrorists and Takfiris (Sunni extremists) kill, kidnap and terrorise our people. We cannot accept this," he said.

He felt it was legitimate to kill these men as they belong to "Zarqawi and such groups."

The tribal leaders said groups linked to Zarqawi were carrying out attacks on the "army, police, oil and gas pipelines and technicians which harms the interests of Iraq."

"We never offered refuge to terrorists. All those who offer shelter to terrorists will be treated like terrorists," their statement added.

"We reject violence and the murders of civilians in the Arab areas."

"These dark forces strike all religious people and their symbols," a local Hawija council member Hussein Ali al-Jubur said.

Attacks on Iraqi security forces also delays the withdrawal of foreign coalition troops, he noted.

The call to arms by the tribes was welcomed by General Anwar Hama Rahma, head of the Iraqi military in Kirkuk who offered his full support to their fight against Al-Qaeda insurgents.

The new stand by Sunnis around Hawija mirrors that to the south in Samarra, where the killing of a key tribal sheikh last October had strained ties between Qaeda fighters and locals, although the sides have since reportedly brokered a truce.

The US military has also reported clashes between nationalist insurgents and Al-Qaeda in Al-Anbar province, considered a bastion of rebel violence.
