Inarabic.. Alsader attak Alawee and Ayatulah Haeree ..

This is a very serious development.. Ayatoulah Haeree is the spritual leader of Alsadree's.. He used to live in Iran and refused to returen back to Iraq after liberation, but appointed Muqtada as his representative.. Later after the Sader uprise, Alhaeree withdraw his representation from Alsader..

Within the Sader circls , having no legal religious coverage is a killing devolopment.. It would turn the Sadreees to a mere political party..

Adding to this, in Demoscus, Alawee met Ayatouylah Fadlalah, The libanees Shia important figure that most of Aldawa party follow in Iraq..

Alsader consider Fadlalah as another spritual leader. This meeting would be considerd as legal approval by Fadlalah to Allawee governemnt and to be another non wellcomed development to Muqtada who tried in his first speach yesterday to propose himself as a protector to the intersts of Iran and Syria in Iraq..

Another wrong step that Muqtada is commiting, putting in mind that the latest poll in Iraq had showed a support of 81% of Iraqis to the measures by Allawee governemnt ..By the way same poll showed only 1% support to "Resistance"..

Tajer, who did that poll and who paid for it?

In the USA, polls paid for by republicans tend to show 5% to 10% more support for Biush than polls paid for by democrats, and independent polls tend to be somewhere inbetween. There are so many polls that we don't worry too much about them being faked.

But if there are not so many polls there, one poll might be faked a lot. And under the circumstances pollsters may start to be afraid of Allawi even if they don't particularly support him, so they could be pressured to fake their results.

I tended to trust CPA polls that said the CPA had 10% support. If the number was really 5% or 0% it didn't matter much.

JThomas,

I agree that our experiences with our " great " Arab government lead polls are not to trust, but I would buy this poll results based on my personal contacts inside Iraq..

Most Iraqis That I asked , were supporting for the strong measures by The new government and willing to cooperate with it..

I personally don't know who did the recent poll as there are today so many different organizations doing polls in the new free Iraq that have no more governemnt controll of people opinion.. However, as for your point of people being affraid of expressing their real opinion. Indeed it might go on the other direction..Most people are affraid of expressing their support to the government publicly as they affraid the terrorist punishment.. Such polls with no names and random selection, might give a more accurate indications. On arab TV stations, there are many Iraqis in the streets showing their condeming to the government of Alawee, as they don't affraid any punishment.. Something that would never happen in any other Arab country than Libanon, where the only one that cann't be condemed is the president " of course not libanies but Syrian!!!"

In Arabic.. Article by famouse Suadi writer.. Expecting more than 5000 terorists had already get in Iraq from abroad.. He said this might threaten all the governemnts in Arab world and Iran. He asked all these countries to be aware of this and ..

He also blame Iran of might be feeling confort with this as these are Sunni's terrorists who are fighting Sunni governemnt, he remind Iran that this might be a dangrous game , as these terrorists consider Iran as the the great symbole of infidal..

Also mentioned that two of the Baath party tops , a jordianian and a syrian, are trying their best to deal withit.. Mr. Haboush, the Saddam Intelegence head, is reportedly controling the insurgence from Syria.

They have done a bad job of getting jobs for people. Many people have no work and little income. Those people are dissatisfied and might become insurgents. Those people might become insurgents for pay. It is important to find jobs that will keep them busy and paid.

If the old army had been kept together then all those soldiers would get paid, and they could be kept busy. That would reduce the insurgency problem. Of course it would be even better to put them to work rebuilding, but we failed to do that.

While this might be true in general , but it is not in Iraqi case.. The Army in a third woulrd country like Iraq is not like any other governemental organisation, those who run the army would run the country some time down the road... Those people had their salaries over the last period.. Only the very hight rank baathees who affraid to apply in person, were not getting theirs.. Any how these are well established that might not need the 200 dollars monthly salary.

Just to prove that the this was not the issue behind the insurgence, let me remind you that before the war there was a reall povirity crises, people used to sell their home belogee to survive.. We never run into a scurity issues.. Iraqis are not oriented to violance as a result of being needy.. These terrorists are criminals from the old security organizations, they would do it in any case .. The issue was really big if they were allowed to keep their posistions inside the army

Another point that would prove that those who used to cal for such , are politically motivated.. Have a look to all of the writings , did they ever mention the need to return back to office for all those who were politically dismissed by saddam .. These are also might turn into violance as the case with the poor Alsadrees.. Why same writers never suggest something like that, insteed , same writers are calling for the wipping out of thugs!!

Iraq's U.K. envoy: Baghdad lobby favors Israel ties

By Sharon Sadeh

LONDON - A powerful lobby is developing in Baghdad to promote the idea of diplomatic relations with Israel, the new Iraqi ambassador to Great Britain told Haaretz yesterday.

Dr. Salah al-Shaikhly, who was appointed two months ago, said that the issue will be raised after the general elections, and "now is not the right time." Al-Shaikhly told Haaretz that he did not have "any problem with Israel or Israelis who wish to visit Iraq," but he also noted, "I really don't know what is the position as of yet, but you should know there is a strong lobby working for you in Iraq."

When asked if he was referring to the Americans, Al-Shaikhly responded, "No, I mean Iraqis, in Iraq, who want to establish relations with Israel, who are in favor of this idea. But the current situation is so uncertain, so volatile that any attempt to push this through, at this point, will most certainly backfire.
