salim
Does anybody knows how is Iraq is actually linked to the internet? is it a satellite connection?Yes itis. The Old regime had a premitive Government Internet ISP that was connected through a VSAT with dialup connection service. After the liberation, the main infra structure was lotted but CPA rerun the old ISP .. Meanwhile tens of Vas based Internet cafes were established all over Iraq. It is very hard to get a seat there and the connection speed is very slow which carriers? Each VSAT has it's own. Is Internet connection in private home working or just Internet points? Only in Baghdad..But it is very difficult to log in .. How is the situation outside Baghdad?Internet cafe based Plans for the future?Iraq is one of the most bomming markets for the Internet networking ..There huge middel class with almost no Internet network to support the demand. I heard that there is real plans to build the first national backbobe network next year.
